A Cordial Gathering with International Students

In the presence of the Dean of the Faculty and a group of deans and professors, a cordial gathering was held at the Poursina Hall of the Faculty on Monday, June 19, 2020, with international students of the New Year 1403.

 

In her opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Razavi, while welcoming the students, referred to the proud history of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Mashhad and stated: The Faculty's more than 50 years of history in training specialized and efficient personnel in the field of medicine, the presence of capable and educated professors, and the Mashhad Faculty of Pharmacy's second national ranking in the Shanghai and QS ranking systems are all signs of the firm determination and active participation of all the faculty's members in achieving the predetermined organizational goals.

 

The dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Mashhad listed the presence of four distinguished professors of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and more than 20 members of the top one percent of highly cited scientists in the world among the faculty members as other scientific capabilities of this complex and said: There have been consultations regarding increasing the capacity to accept international students so that, God willing, we can take stronger steps towards strengthening international relations and making more optimal use of this scientific capacity.

 

Dr. Seyed Ahmad Emami, professor of the Department of Traditional Pharmacy and professor advisor to international students, said, considering the numerous historical, cultural, linguistic and religious similarities with the countries of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iraq: We have not and do not have any feeling of alienation with you. These similarities are so many and strong that we can consider ourselves a deep-rooted family with geographically agreed borders.

 

The Vice President for International Affairs of the Faculty expressed satisfaction with the sincere and positive atmosphere in the interactions of international students with the Faculty and emphasized that we will do our best to be a listening ear to hear shortcomings, criticisms, and some dissatisfactions. He told the students: "I hope that by taking advantage of the scientific and research capabilities of the Mashhad Faculty of Pharmacy during your studies in Iran, you will be able to work as prominent scientific and research ambassadors of Iran in the field of pharmacy in the world after graduation and acquiring the necessary technical skills and experiences.

Some questions were then raised, which were answered by the Vice Presidents for Cultural and Student Affairs, Postgraduate Education, and Research, according to the topic.
